About Us
SPARC, Inc., Special Program And Resource Connection, is a not-for-profit agency providing social, recreation, and therapeutic services for youth and adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1989, SPARC helps enhance lives through satisfying leisure activities, currently providing services to 800 individuals weekly, 1,100+ annually. Our community program sites, trip opportunities and local volunteers allow participants to develop a social network while strengthening their contributions and acceptance in their neighborhoods. Group members improve community living skills, decision-making and problem solving in social situations, building confidence and independence. SPARC programs improve the lives of participants with more than diversion, but involvements that capture individual talents, stimulate new interests, form relationships and encourage each person to reach their potential.
