AUTISM SPECTRUM SERVICES
Play is an important role in the lives of children with special needs, through which they may explore, understand and connect with the world. Research indicates that the most successful social skills programs occur in a natural environment, with consistency, and intervention strategies that address individual skill deficits. Our services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are delivered by professionals trained in the unique needs of children with autism. SPARC Specialists nurture every child to feel safe and comfortable in a weekly, structured program that empowers children to trust and try new things. While KIDZ TIME is exclusively for children with ASD’s, we serve participants with Asperger’s PDD and those with greater challenges through many of our activities. As with all SPARC programs, groups are formed by similar ages, needs and abilities, allowing for individualized programs to meet each individual’s highest potential. All activities offer opportunities for gaining social skills, self-expression, and self-esteem to more effectively enjoy recreation and deal with challenges
