TUESDAY

DINNER FRIENDS   
Have a night out on the town enjoying dinner with friends. What’s your favorite – Chinese, Italian, Mexican, diners, deli-style?  We will sample new restaurants and types of food each week, based on group consensus.  Parents/caregivers drop off and pick up at dining sites. Each week we collect memorabilia for a last session scrapbook to take home. 
                      Place:                       2 groups, meet peers in Northern or Lower Westchester Restaurants,                                                       TBA, Selected by participant consensus
                      Day:                        (1st & 3rd of each month)
                      Time:                       6:30 to 8:00 pm
                      Cost:                       $ 125 + meals for 7 weeks, $ 250 full year + meals

WEDNESDAY

EXPLORING ART                               
Here’s the place to let your creativity flow!  Explore both sophisticated art supplies and everyday items in unique ways.  Your self-expression and artistic experience are as valuable as the wonderful project you take home each week.  This is a great time for those just starting to “dabble” in the arts or more experienced artists.  Projects are based on your interests and can include:  mosaics, woodwork, jewelry making, paper mache, scrapbooking, tie dye, stained glass, decoupage, sculpture, stamping, holiday crafting, marbling, printing and more.  You will be amazed at what you can do!
                   Place:                      Lower/mid Westchester TBA

                   Cost:                       $ 175 for 14 weeks, $ 350 for full year (28 weeks)

THURSDAY

INTRO TO GOLF
Our golf pro gives personalized instruction in a small group lesson, preparing you to understand and enjoy the game of golf.  Learn body mechanics and golf techniques: your stance, to pivot and swing.  Practice golf etiquette, picking out a club and finding your way around the golf center.  Depending on group experience, may meet on driving range or professional course.
                  Place:                      Mid and Northern Westchester TBA
                  Time:                       7:00 to 8:00 pm
                  Cost:                        $ 75 for 4 weeks

FRIDAY

TEEN TIME                                                                                          
Looking for friendship, excitement, and unique activities? Spend your evenings hanging out with other teens in this supportive, social environment!  Join trips, dances and parties, try art, games or community service projects, talk about teen concerns, engage in teambuilding activities, bring your own CD’s, have a snack, make  a meal and help plan activities wherever your imagination takes us!  Trips may include: bowling, mini-golf, Battle of the Bands, dinner, movies, arcades, theatre, swimming, summer cruise, baseball game, nature walk, sports clubs, and festivals!  SPARC specialists support leisure education, stress management, independence, self-expression, development of socialization skills and attitudes to make leisure time enjoyable. *Halloween (10/30) and Spring (4/16) dances, Holiday parties, Renaissance Fair (12/4), Family BBQ (5/21-rain or shine.)

SATURDAY

MAKING STRIDES                                                                            
Adapted horseback riding gives participants skills, a sense of accomplishment and a love for animals.  Professional instruction in basic riding techniques helps riders gain independence while improving balance, coordination and concentration.  This lovely stable offers participants indoor and outdoor riding facilities, opportunities to groom horses and interact with farm animals. Individualized riding evaluation at first class, and parent input will determine goals for each rider.

                Time:                       9:30 – 12:00 pm as assigned
                Cost:                       $ 280 for 7 weeks

REC CLUB           
It’s the weekend!  Come be part of the gang playing gym activities, engaging in warm-ups, sports skills, games, and team challenges. Each week offers different activities with our adaptive athletics instructor: baseball, softball, field hockey, soccer drills, kickball, “SPUD” and more.  On the 1st Saturday each month we will share lunch together during an extended session, on or off site depending on restaurant availability near facilities.  Keep active and in shape while enjoying the sociability of good sportsmanship at this typical teen/young adult experience.

              Time:                       10:45-12:00 pm
                                             **1st Saturday of month ends at 1:15 pm after lunch
             Cost:                       $235 - 12 weeks + lunch $ on 1st Saturdays, $470 full year

FILM  PRODUCTION WORKSHOP                (for young adults)
 “Show biz” isn’t just for Hollywood!  SPARC’s film production workshop is led by professional producer/editors, teaching you technical and creative movie making skills while enjoying a social group of friends.  We film neighborhood events, our own biographies, create fictional scripts, do movie reviews, music videos and conduct interviews.  Develop skills in camera work, lighting, props, editing, directing, critiquing and being on camera (optional.) New this year, visit an editing studio and trips. Past on-location shoots  included: farmer’s market, historic art district, political candidates’ forum, Guiding Eyes, Leo’s car wash, fundraising walk, ham radio convention and more.  Share your creative accomplishments with family and friends on DVD’s or www.YouTube.com/SPARCIncTV.
