This photo is of me and my youngest son, Ben. Ben is 12 years old and is truly a wonderful boy. But Ben lives with autism and has a hard time communicating or doing many of the things that a typical 12 year old boy would do. There is no travel soccer or baseball for kids like Ben, and the invitations for play dates, along with the opportunities to form relationships with others, are limited at best.
SPARC has been a lifeline to our family and we want to help maintain it’s services for Ben and his friends for years to come.
On October 15-16, 2013, my team of 3 intrepid hikers crossed 25 miles from rim to rim in the Grand Canyon in 14 hours on foot.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support for our trek, all proceeds of which will support SPARC programs — and don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
As SPARC continues to prioritize the health and safety of our participants, staff and the special needs community, we made the difficult decision in March to temporarily cancel our in-person programs to help do our part and slow the spread of COVID-19.
Even though our programs are on a PAUSE right now, SPARC has successfully continued to service the community by offering Virtual Programming to all of our participants. For 31 years, it has been our commitment to enrich the lives of people with special needs. We hope that you can help us continue our mission especially during this difficult time. DONATE NOW
Please note our main office remains closed but we are still reachable via our main line (914) 243-0583.
We are deeply grateful for your support of SPARC. Stay safe!
