LINK-UP

SPARC’s LINK-UP  program is an alternative to traditional day habilitation or "without walls" programs. Designed for young adults who have completed high school and need help transitioning to adulthood, this day program focuses on community integration and independent living activities. With a staff ratio of 5:1, SPARC offers a range of growth opportunities tailored to higher ability participants.

What We Do

Participants at The Clay Art Center

Through LINK-UP, participants develop crucial life skills by becoming active members of their community. They learn to navigate municipal services, use public transportation, explore local cultural sites, visit exhibits, handle money, and practice pre-vocational skills. Engaging in community service, volunteer work, and intergenerational experiences with children and senior citizens further enriches their journey.

At LINK-UP, we prioritize lifelong learning. Our program combines hands-on instruction in life skills and social skills with guest instructors and educational programs that stimulate the mind, body, and spirit of our participants. Transportation arrangements are made by families to ensure convenient access.

LINK-UP opens doors to exciting experiences, fostering independence and empowering young adults to thrive in their own unique way.

As a Medicaid Respite Waiver program, It's important to note that the program requires a program enhancement fee, which is determined based on the number of days enrolled each week. This fee helps support the quality and enhancements provided to participants throughout their enrollment in the program.
